Who We Are

Closing the Gap Between
Technology and Access

Standing wheelchair technology exists. It works. It changes lives — improving circulation, reducing pressure sores, restoring bone density, and giving people the ability to look the world in the eye again.

The problem is cost. Insurance covers the base wheelchair. It rarely covers the standing functionality upgrade. The Right to Stand was founded to bridge that gap — one person, one chair at a time.

Why It Matters

What Standing Makes Possible

A standing wheelchair doesn't just change mobility — it changes everything. Reaching a shelf. Looking someone in the eye. Cooking in your own kitchen. Living on your terms.

Independence at Home

Cooking, reaching shelves, opening doors at counter height — tasks most people take for granted become possible again with standing technology.

Social Connection

Eye-level conversations, handshakes, and being present in a room as a standing person restores dignity and transforms relationships.

Physical Health

Regular standing improves circulation, strengthens bones, aids digestion, and reduces the risk of pressure sores — benefits that directly extend and improve quality of life.

"I know what it feels like to have your world shrink. I also know what it feels like to stand up again. Nobody should have to choose between health and cost."

— Austin Beggin, Founder
